Halloween Parade Information

Participate in the Halloween Parade, Saturday, October 31st!

This year we are PIRATES, from W- "ARRRR" - S!

The school Marching Band (Grades 5-12) are preparing music from "Pirates of the Caribbean", but we need Bucket Drummers and Candy Distributors! This is for students Grades 4-12.

If you are interested, print this information form and permission slip and return the bottom half to Mr. Henry or Ms. Ott:

You can also get a copy from Mr. Henry!

Details, including costume information here:

HALLOWEEN PARADE - Information sheet / Permission Slip - CALLING ALL PIRATES!! (Grades 4-12)

To supplement the Marching Band (playing the music from “Pirates of the Caribbean”), we need bucket drummers, and people to hand out candy, GRADES 4-12. This is your student’s permission slip and commitment to participate.

Students should be at the gym of West Rutland School on Saturday, October 31st, no later than 4:30pm.  We will get into costume, quickly rehearse the piece, and load busses.  The bus will leave at 5:15pm. The parade begins at 6:30pm.  We don’t know where WRS is in the order of the parade, so we don’t know exactly when we’ll return to West Rutland, but the parade usually lasts about 2 hours.

Snacks are a good idea for students, since, depending on WHEN we march in the parade, we may be waiting a while!

Costume needs: Every pirate needs a solid white or black shirt (LONG SLEEVE: it may be COLD!), or black and white striped shirt, and blue jeans. We’ll supplement with eye patches, vests, hats, etc to complete the costume.
