posted May 12, 2017, 10:44 AM by Lynn Ackerman

On Thursday, May 11, 2017 the Rutland Herald reported students from Rutland County were recognized at the 36th annual Congressional Art Competition with Choice Awards.

Congratulations to WRS sophomore, Matthew Harte for being recognized for his piece "Chickadee"!

Students submit entries to their U. S. representatives office and local artists in each district select the winning entries for the nationwide high school Congressional Art Competition. Matthew Harte's piece along with two other students from Rutland County will be displayed for one year in the tunnel that connects the three House Office Buildings to the U. S. Capitol.
